What should you Expect?
The Laid-Back Expedition is for those who believe adventure is best shared with like-minded souls. We’ve learned that even the most breathtaking landscapes and perfectly planned trips fall short without the right group dynamic.
Unlike traditional travel companies that simply fill spots, we prioritize connection and shared stoke. Our expeditions attract open-minded, easygoing travelers who value great experiences over rigid itineraries. Whether it’s remote Arctic wilderness or otherworldly landscapes, the journey is always better when the group just vibes.
The Itinerary
Day 1
We all meet in Longyearbyen and board the Kinfish at
16:00 (that's 4 in the afternoon for you American fucktards, it's not just military time) for departure, we will have a safety induction and our first dinner onboard while heading north or south over night. Chill times in the evening.
Day 2-8
Sail around the coast of Svalbard and enjoy ourselves.
Day 9
Sail around the coast of Svalbard and enjoy ourselves.
On this last evening we will have our last supper together with the entire crew and a wild party into into the night.
Day 10
Guests leave at 9 in the morning, after breakfast.
The Facilities
This is the second time we are traveling in the Arctic at this time of year, in the autumn shoulder season. Because of the time of year, and how far up north we are the days will be a little bit longer than what most of us are used to. At the start of the expedition, 7th September, the sun rises at 04:34 and it sets again at 21:09. By the end of the expedition, 16th September, the sunrise will occur at 05:45 and will set again at 19:53. Over the span of these ten days, we lose approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes of daylight.
For chill times there are couches around the ship, plenty of books to read, things to explore on board, there is even a television corner with a playstation. Right next to the bar.

Media Library
Your cabins were previously used for surveyors and scientists who processed and analysed survey data. Now they have been given the “Arctic touch”. In each cabin is available a hair dryer, an extension cable, travel adaptors and a shoehorn. There is also a wall-mounted Bluetooth speaker to use for playing music and other audio. Cleaning will be performed daily unless you wish otherwise.
This is your safe haven, we hope you like it! If you lack anything, please let us know!
In the mudroom you have hooks at your disposal for hanging outdoor clothes, your inflatable life jackets and coveralls. You may store your boots along the wall. Please don’t bring dirty clothes or shoes further into the vessel.
There are several areas for you to hang out, meet, chat, drink and laugh. Use them as you please! The bridge is open for visits 24/7, unless special circumstances prevail. Feel free to visit at any time!
Our vessel offers a cozy polar book library blending expedition history with Arctic literature, plus a digital media library for onboard screens. Passengers can unwind with board games, cards, or watercolor painting in the dayroom, or musicians can jam with our guitar, acoustic bass, and cajón. For the adventurous, fishing gear and water sports equipment—including dry suits and paddleboards—are available upon request.
The Kinfish features a loaded Media Server with movies, series, documentaries, and music—but don’t expect a week of solo screen time. There’s no Wi-Fi for endless scrolling (we’re here for the Arctic, not your feed), so instead, we turn evenings into a shared experience.
Gather in the Survey Lounge as we fire up the projector, pour some drinks, and transform the space into an onboard cinema. Whether it’s a cult classic, an absurd comedy, or a bizarre documentary, the point is to watch together—laughing, debating, and enjoying the kind of group vibe you just don’t get from solo binge-watching.
This is entertainment the way it should be: relaxed, social, and completely unplugged.
What We Take Care Of
Your voyage aboard the Kinfish comes fully crewed with an experienced team including the Captain, Chief Officer, two Able Bodied Seamen, Engineer, Chief Cook, Stewardess, and two expert guides.
From your first dinner to final breakfast, enjoy five-star cuisine paired with unlimited drinks from our well-stocked bar. We'll explore the High Arctic's hidden gems through guided Zodiac excursions while our photography experts help capture every moment. Between adventures, relax in comfortable accommodations and enjoy the unique onboard atmosphere - complete with questionable humor that somehow makes the experience even better.
